It is best done with a personal tour guide like Sergio. He is fluent in English. His knowledge and experience and university degree in cultural studies makes for a superior tour guide. Sergio will greet you at the airport and take care of your luggage. You don’t have to waste energy walking to the parking lot or waiting in line for a taxi/tour bus and other people. When touring sites or going out at night to restaurants, Sergio drops you at the door and finds the parking spot. He will go out at night and get you a meal and bring it to your room. He will work with you prior to the trip planning the entire stay through Whatsapp. We spent 6 days at villages not on any tour guide in search of ancestry records, grave sites and the streets where our ancestry lived. It would have been impossible without Sergio talking to the grave keepers, Priest and local community record keepers. Sergio will take you to all the places you want to see and explore each site for as long as you want on your own time schedule. He is flexible and will adapt to your changes on the go.
